And CO+HOOTS Foundation, to be precise. As you probably know by now, we’re approaching Fourth Friday and that means it’s about to be Charity Pie Night! This month’s featured non-profit is the CO+HOOTS Foundation whose mission is “to influence and support community growth by engaging the power of coworkers, independent contractors and small business.” They’ll be providing pro bono service, education, and leadership to CO+WORK, CO+BUILD and CO+CHANGE the world.
The parent organization for this non-profit is the five-years-running co-working space CO+HOOTS founded by Jenny Poon, one of 2013’s Business Journal’s 40 under 40 Entrepreneurs. Poon, taking everything she’s learned from developing this successful co-working model and from her experience running her own boutique design agency eeko studio, has partnered with fellow 40 under 40 Entrepreneur and leader in the non-profit industry, Kristin Romaine, to make available their collective knowledge, networks, resources, and mentorship to BOTH the non-profit and more-than-profit sectors.
As a small business who’s relied very much on skill-sharing, mentorship, and guidance from members of our community, this is very much a mission we can get behind. So come out to Charity Pie Night this Friday, September 26th, 7-9pm, donate to the cause, and get both good vibes and an amazing smorgasbord of Vonceil’s Pies!
