We have reached the final day of our countdown. Yes, my friends it is Christmas Eve Eve, which means today and tomorrow are the last shopping days before The Big Morning.
If you’ve been tuning in, we’ve been running a 12 Days of Christmas blog series that has featured top gift picks from fun, local-loving Phoenicians (all found at Practical Art)– entrepreneurs, politicians, activists, and more. The last few days have brought suggestions from in-house– starting with Karen, then Kara, and now wrapping up with Lisa!
We hope you’ve been able to find a unique, handmade, local treasure to give as that special gift, and again, if you’re still struggling, come by the shop! We are the most stress-free holiday shopping zone imaginable (wine, gift-wrapping, snacks, smiles!)! So without further delay:
Phoenician: Lisa Olson
Our final pick comes from Lisa Olson, co-owner at Practical Art. She chose the cast concrete pendant by artisan Jim Ralston. Flecked with turquoise speckles, this pendant has a truly unique look and feel. Colorful, industrial and artful, it’s a beautiful compliment to any outfit.
About Lisa: Lisa Olson is the co-owner of Practical Art with business partner Kara Roschi. She is an active board member with Artlink, the non-profit that organizes First Friday art walks, Art Detour, and other events in Downtown Phoenix. Prior to taking the helm at Practical Art she worked as a photojournalist for the East Valley Tribune where she won the AP Managing Editors Photo of the Year in 2006.
