Friendly Friday Blog: Hard Goods!

Friendly Friday Blogs are about extolling the virtues of CenPho, the locale we call home. And by virtues, we mean the amazingly eclectic and wonderfully charismatic neighborhood establishments, and the entrepreneurs they own.

This week’s send up? Hard Goods!

Have you heard the news? If you follow our Facebook page, you probably have.  One of our favorite stops on the way to cocktails at Windsor is moving to a new locale, but thankfully, they’ll still be in the neighborhood. In fact, this new partnership strikes us as a perfect match.

Hard Goods, the purveyor of  concrete, wood, and steel home-based objects d’art, is opening up within Modern Manor! Modern Manor, located just off the Melrose Curve here in Central Phoenix, focuses on Mid-Century Modern design and contemporary industrial-chic decor… which should seem like familiar notes if you’re a fan of Brandon Gore’s designs for Hard Goods.

See? Like I said, a perfect match.

Many of the items you know and love from this last Hard Goods location, the concrete door stops and votive holders, brands like Bison Made and Shwood, are travelling over to the new spot. That includes art prints by local artist Jon Arvizu. Does that name sound familiar? It should! Jon was just juried in as one of the eleven artists to exhibit for Practical Art’s Second Annual Group Exhibition, HEAT! Make sure to come check out his monoscreen, “House Afire,” during the month of July!

And to our neighbors: have fun on the move! (And it’s June! So drink lots of water while you’re huffin’-and-puffin’ boxes around!) It takes a certain brand of human to truly enjoy the local business growth and refinement process, and we’re happy to have you as comrades on the front lines!

Also! We love your Instagram! 🙂
